Doraville, Georgia / A preliminary tourism direction
DoravilleNext stop, everywhere.

A familiar welcome.
A different discovery at every turn.
There is a whole
world here.
Begin with the businesses, neighbors, and everyday places that make Doraville worth knowing.
01 / The opportunity
A city this rich
deserves a clearer
invitation.
The City's brief calls for a shared tourism identity and coordinated marketing. Our starting point is the connection between the places visitors come for and the people who make them matter.
Give someone a reason to arrive, a useful way to explore, and a reason to return. Let established businesses share in the attention surrounding new development.
of residents are foreign-born.
of residents age 5+ speak a language other than English at home.

02 / Meet the city
A few stops.
So much to discover.

Buford Highway
Farmers Market
A place to discover ingredients and food traditions from around the world. An editorial market guide could introduce the departments, products, and people behind a visit.
Meet the market ↗
White Windmill
A Korean bakery and café at 5881 Buford Highway. Bring the experience into the campaign through the counter, the café, and a conversation with the people who welcome customers every day.
Explore the bakery ↗
Sweet Hut Bakery & Café
At 5150 Buford Highway, Asian bakery specialties and drinks offer another reason to stop. Pair a business portrait with practical visit information and a local recommendation for what to discover next.
Meet Sweet Hut ↗Many cultures. A shared hometown.
More than
a place to visit.
A place to belong.

The people are the starting point.
The City describes Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, and Latin American communities. Research should reach residents in the languages and places they use, with paid cultural contributors and business owners helping shape the invitation.
Participation, accurate representation, and business referrals become measures of success alongside visitor demand.
City community profile ↗03 / Connect the visit
The next stop
starts with
the last mile.

Arrive on the Gold Line.
Doraville has a direct MARTA rail connection to Atlanta and regional bus connections. Transit belongs in the invitation from the first impression.
Make the next leg clear.
Audit walking routes, crossings, accessible entrances, bus connections, and bicycle access before promoting an itinerary. Show the actual travel options for each business.
Connect marketing to place.
The City lists New Peachtree Road streetscape improvements and the proposed BuHi Walk. Publish completed connections as they open; distinguish planned routes from routes visitors can use today.
04 / A familiar character, a fresh expression
A welcome
with history.
A city with
momentum.

The city gateway combines a colorful contemporary emblem with stone and an established civic welcome. The tourism identity can carry that same relationship: expressive color and motion, grounded by editorial type and the textures of real places.
The City's existing identity remains the civic signature. The tourism system gives partners a flexible way to tell their own stories within it.

05 / The city taking shape
Another chapter.
Still Doraville.
Assembly belongs in the bigger story.
The former General Motors site is part of Doraville's changing landscape. Connect the story of production and new investment with the existing markets, cafés, art, and neighborhoods.
Identify what is open to visitors before promoting access to private studios or future amenities.

Submission details to confirm
The City listing shows 2:00 PM and the state registry shows 8:00 AM on October 5. The RFP gives the date without a time. Ask Gary Marshall to confirm the controlling deadline in writing.
The RFP asks for relevant case studies with client name, scope, firm role, outcomes where available, visual examples, and client references. Self-initiated concepts can demonstrate taste, but they do not replace commissioned case studies. Appendix C contains evaluation criteria and is explicitly marked not for submission.
Evaluation alignment
Build the response around how Doraville will score it.
Recommended decision
Bid, with the
right team.
Strong creative fit. The submission becomes credible when tourism research, inclusive engagement, media planning, commissioned results, and references are locked.

Culture and connectivity
U.S. Census Bureau, 2020–2024 estimates supplies the two demographic figures. MARTA confirms Gold Line service. City projects distinguish planned pedestrian improvements. The Atlanta Beltline is a regional opportunity, not a direct Doraville walking connection. Its 2030 target does not establish direct rail, streetcar, or trail access from this city.
